Kawanna Thomas - murder victim

Desoto sheriffs deputies tell KSLA News 12 Kawanna Thomas was seven to eight months pregnant. They say her killers shot her in the belly twice hitting the baby girl who was going to be named Lanesha. Her family says it was Thomas' ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend who lured Kawanna with an intent to kill.

Erica thomas, Kawanna Thomas' sister had stern words for Lee Arthur Allen, the man now charged with her murder. "She gone now and I hate you. I hate you for doing that to my sister. I hope you die."

27-year-old Lee Arthur Allen is in a DeSoto Parish jail charged with first degree murder.

His girlfriend Willa Kelly is also charged with accessory to murder. Thomas says, "she loved you Lee, she loved you. You didn't have to do my sister like that. Now I don't have a sister anymore."

Thomas' mother Rosie Maxie says the two plotted and killed her daughter. "Willa or Lee, one of them called her and I don't know if they may have taunted her or whatever she has a hot head and she went down there to confront them."
According to the family Lee had just bought a gun days earlier and was showing it off.

Thomas' body was found Wednesday riddled with bullets on the side of a DeSoto parish road, two days after she was reported missing.

The baby girls clothes will never be worn. Thomas' mother hopes her daughter and granddaughters lives will not be in vain.

The baby girl was due the day after Christmas. Now instead of the celebrating a new life. Kawanna Thomas' family say they are putting two of them to rest.

Sheriffs deputies say the fetus was shot twice and that Thomas' body was riddled with bullets.
